“If it were not for Dennis Gibbons I would not have been able to run the Boston Marathon. I tried sports injury doctors and sports injury physio’s for 18 months. Nothing got me back out on the road until I found Dennis Gibbons 18 months after my injury occurred. One friend whom I referred to Dennis said that she felt like she had inherited a new body after a session with Dennis Gibbons.”

Our Mission

Our mission is
to achieve proper client posture
for ease of movement,
maintain core strength,
and preserve flexibility.

A life saver... A true healer... Magical…Caring... These are just a few of the words clients have used to describe Dennis Gibbons.

Dennis’s ability to dramatically improve his clients’ lives is at the heart of Chagrin Valley Massotherapy and Wellness Center. Since becoming a massotherapist over 19 years ago, Dennis has pursued an unwavering commitment to relieving people’s chronic pain through his unique approach of postural alignment.

The basis of this approach is to adjust and strengthen the soft tissue that supports the joints and thus properly aligns the body. This unique technique grew from Dennis’ interest in a vastly different area- blueprints and his 17-year career as a pipefitter.

After all, moving our joints freely under the constant pressure of gravity isn’t a far stretch from moving liquid swiftly through carefully welded pipes.

The switch from pipefitter to successful massotherapist wasn’t easy or quick, but Dennis had a vision - a vision to find a better way to relieve people’s pain.

This calling has led him on a wonderful journey to heal more than 6,000 people including world famous ballet dancer Rudolf Nuryev, and create Chagrin Valley Wellness Center (CVWC).

One of his greatest important accomplishments has been to take a profession like massage and redefine it into a respected, thriving, professional practice. In addition to being licensed by the State of Ohio to practice massage therapy, Dennis teaches his approach to postural alignment at the Ohio College of Massotherapy and at the Eastern campus of Cuyahoga Community College. He is also a member of the Massage Therapy Advisory Committee of the Ohio State Medical Board.

His greatest accomplishment, however, is his 36-year marriage to his wife, Marge, and raising their three children. In their spare time, Dennis and Marge, Marketing Director for CVWC, enjoy their four grandchildren, traveling, reading, golfing and being active in their church.

As his journey unfolds, Dennis truly feels blessed with the knowledge and spiritual guidance that has led him to help people in chronic pain embark on their path to wellness.
